Legal & Disclaimer

Please read before using slump.IO for any engineering work.

Key Points

1. No Endorsement by Standards Bodies

slump.IO implements calculation procedures based on ACI 211.1, IS 10262:2019, and BS 8500. The app is an independent software product and has not been reviewed, verified, certified, or endorsed by the American Concrete Institute (ACI), the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), the British Standards Institution (BSI), or any other standards organization, regulatory authority, or professional body.

References to these standards are for descriptive purposes only. The underlying standards remain the authoritative source for all design procedures, and users are responsible for consulting the current edition of the relevant standard directly.

2. No Warranty — Software May Contain Errors

slump.IO is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind, express or implied. While every effort has been made to implement the referenced standards accurately, the developer does not warrant that the calculations are free from errors, that results will be accurate in all cases, or that the app is suitable for any particular purpose.

Concrete mix design involves variables that cannot be fully captured in any software — including but not limited to material variability, environmental conditions, construction practices, and local code requirements. The app cannot and does not account for all such factors.

3. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Dr. Mohammed Fasil and any associated parties shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from the use or inability to use this application, including but not limited to structural failure, material waste, economic loss, or injury.

By using slump.IO, you accept full responsibility for validating all outputs before any field, structural, or commercial application.

4. User Responsibility

slump.IO is intended for use by qualified engineers, concrete technologists, and researchers who have the knowledge to critically evaluate the outputs produced. It is the user's sole responsibility to:

— Verify all mix design outputs against the relevant standard before use.
— Ensure compliance with applicable local codes, regulations, and project specifications.
— Conduct trial mixes and laboratory verification before field implementation.
— Apply professional judgment to all results produced by the app.

Use of this application does not constitute professional engineering advice and does not replace the judgment of a licensed engineer.

5. Reporting Errors

The developer actively encourages users to report suspected calculation errors or discrepancies. slump.IO is a work in progress and may contain mistakes. If you identify an error, please report it through the in-app feedback form in Settings, or by emailing dr.mohammedfasil@gmail.com. All reports will be reviewed and, where confirmed, corrected in a future update.

Reporting an error does not create any liability on the part of the user, and the developer sincerely appreciates contributions that help improve the accuracy of the app.

6. Changes to This Notice

This legal notice may be updated from time to time. The current version is always available at this URL. Continued use of the app constitutes acceptance of the current notice.
