Is slump.IO verified by ACI, BIS, or BSI? +
No. slump.IO is an independent app and has not been reviewed, verified, or endorsed by any standards body. It implements proportioning procedures based on the referenced standards, but users should always consult the original standard and validate results before use.
Can I use slump.IO results directly on site? +
No — not without validation. slump.IO is a calculation aid for qualified engineers. All proportions should be reviewed by a licensed engineer and confirmed through trial mixes before field or structural application.
I think there's a calculation error. What should I do? +
Please report it via the in-app feedback form in Settings, or email dr.mohammedfasil@gmail.com with the inputs you used and the expected result. All reports are reviewed. The developer genuinely appreciates users who take the time to check the calculations.
Which version of IS 10262 does the app use? +
The app references IS 10262:2019 (the most recent edition at the time of development), with exposure and durability requirements from IS 456:2000. Always check the current edition of the standard for your project.
Why does my ACI result show a high cement content? +
ACI 211.1 applies a conservative safety margin to the target strength when no historical standard deviation data is available. Entering a measured standard deviation from your concrete production records will reduce the margin and produce a more economical mix. This is standard ACI procedure.
Does the app support air-entrained concrete? +
Partial support — you can specify a target air content in Advanced mode. The water content table currently uses non-air-entrained values. Full AEA support with corrected water demand is on the roadmap.
Is my data private? +
Yes. All data is stored locally on your device. Nothing is sent to any server. No account is required. See the Privacy Policy for full details.
Will there be an Android version? +
Not currently planned, but it is being considered. If you'd like to see an Android version, please let us know via email — user interest helps prioritise development.
